USB Host Module

USB Host Trailor Module

USB Host Trailor

The USB Host Module can be plugged underneath the Base Module. The Module contains the USB Host logic - not to confuse with USB device. USB Host allowes to connect USB sticks, HID devics, etc ... Note, that in most cases, some sort of minimal driver is necassary on the Avisaro Module. This driver is usually some bytes sequence send from a script. Avisaro can help in developing those "minimal driver". USB memory stick are supported without a need for drivers.  (Mehr details)

USB Host Trailor

Also available without the Type A connector. All USB port pins are routed to the Modules pings.

Orientation ("PIN 1")

The Avisaro 2.0 module has 24 pins. Pin no 1 is in the top left corner, all other pin numbers counting counterclockwise. The orientation of the Base and Trailor module is shown in those diagrams.

  1. Base Module's pin 1 is marked by a triangle
  2. SD Trailor Module's pin 1 is in the top left corner. Hold module such that the slot opening points upwards.
  3. WLAN Trailor Module's pin 1 is in the top left corner. Hold module such that the antenna points upwards.

Design-In guidelines

  • The USB Host Trailor Module can be shipped with or withour Type A connector. The Type A connector is USB Port 1 - which is the same Port 1 on the pins 30 - 32.
  • A Type A USB connector can be connected directly to pins 28/29 (Port 2) or pins 31/32 (Port 1). No additional logic or resistors are necessary.
  • This USB Host Trailor Module is supported by Firmware Version v4.51 or higher.
  • Power consumption on 3.3V is about 25 mA.
  • Power consumption on 5.0V depends on the devices connected to the USB Trailor. A USB storage stick typically consumes 100-200mA
